The 4th Annual Seattle Sound Music Awards

This 4th annual Seattle sound music awards a red carpet + black-tie affair
Recognizing Seattle's Independent/Mainstream Artists and Organizations who are making an impact in their respective fields of Music, Film, Production, Media/Radio, Sports, and influencing change within their community was an event to remember! Located in the heart of downtown Seattle at the Hard Rock Cafe The networking and music were at its best on the red carpet. Artist, labels, managers, a&r radio personalities, bloggers from all over the northwest were in attendance to network the night away.

First, let's lift our cups to the Queen of the night Lady Scribe aka Michelle Williams Seattle Brand Ambassador, PR, Travel & Financial Education Services Agent. She saw a vision four years ago and has turn it into a beautiful reality. She was all over every aspect of the of the event keeping a watchful eye on the sound check to the door and back.

I did get a chance to chop it up with heavy hitters  ElleXentric - XEEX  Krystal Frazer  Dwayne D'Arby Fatal Lucciauno Hellen Cane  A1 and more on the red carpet who were excited about performing, getting nominated and shopping their latest project. As each artist hit the stage they gave their all and put on a show and we were definitely entertained. Also let not forget the delicious entree of juicy salmon, garlic potatoes and well seasoned saute strings bean as well as a top shelf margarita to wash it all down.
This event was an urban class at its best. There are great events and venues out there that still hold the standard for the arts of hip-hop culture and more if anyone is doughing or hating and they are just getting started.

MarKkii Notes
Singer-Songwriter-Producer-Founder of  -The keys to unlock change reside within us all.Columbia, SC ·

Hailing from humble beginnings, at the age of 16, MarKkii left home with nothing but a dream to become a legendary performer, and the clothes on his back. “This is where the journey began for me,” recalls MarKkii, “the road to fulfill this dream has been one of many ups and downs.” After finishing high school in South Carolina, MarKkii enlisted in the United States Army. While stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, he found himself surrounded by people who shared the same aspiration.
At the age of 21, MarKkii was on the Saturday Night Mix Tape with DJ Al Irvin, a disc jockey in Columbus, Georgia. This opportunity landed MarKkii a spot on the pilot of a local entertainment show called "Hot Spot”, where he received his first credits as a mix engineer and celebrity interviewer.
After the military, MarKkii returned to his hometown of Columbia, South Carolina and his first love, music. With determination in his heart and ambition in his soul MarKkii cleaved to his dream with unwavering dedication. Through a spin of luck MarKkii was invited to become the host of a travelling trademarked karaoke show called "Afro-oke". With the popularity of “Afro-oke”, Markkii encountered many aspiring artists and was graced with guest appearances by celebrities such as Juvenile and Prophet Jones. Eventually MarKkii would hit the stage as an artist himself. One evening while hosting “Afro-oke”, MarKkii was approached by a local R&B group who had gotten wind of his vocal abilities. Then called "Diamondz in Da Ruff", the group asked MarKkii to become the fourth member in their group. The quartet soon cut their name to simply ‘Diamondz,’ and set off to take the music world by storm.
While with Diamondz, Markkii shared a stage with industry greats like "Anthony Hamilton", "Mario Winans", "The Nappy Roots", and The Legendary "Lattimore”. Unfortunately, while talented, the group faltered from the many pressures of the music industry.
Amidst the turbulence another chapter in life opened; Markkii began producing from South Carolina to New York where he adopted the name M-Notes. M-Notes produced for artists like Twalla Jay and Slink aka Shawn Travolta. Not completely fulfilled by producing, Markkii felt there was more that was set forth for him to accomplish.
So, leaving everything behind, Markkii relocated to Oklahoma City to build again. Teaming with a plethora of talent, in December 2007 he and a co-worker formed an alliance, “Cirius Entertainment Group, LLC”. In November 2009, Markkii, Executive Produced and released the first EP from the Cirius Entertainment Group’s catalog entitled “Moe Forever” by Saxophonist Moe “Better” Williams.
January 2011, he began working on a compilation album with an aspiring local rap group known as "Block Boyz". Producing 9 of its 15 tracks, to include their smash hit "Go Hard or Go Home". Later he signed two of the group’s five members to Cirius Entertainment Group. November 2011, he executive produced and released "That's You" by Papi and "Black Rein" by StepDaddy featuring Black Armor Records own "T-Nutty".
In January 2012, he returned to the studio with Micheal McKinney (former bassist for Micheal Jackson), J. Thomas and J. McDonald to complete his solo LP "Love Infatuation". February 14, 2012, he released his solo LP worldwide.
